Adam Calli Returns to JMU for Spring HR Panel
It was great for Arc Human Capital’s Founder, Adam Calli,to be back on the James Madison University campus this week to share information, insights, and tips for working in human resources with students! His first presentation to the chapter back in November went so well that the student chapter of the Society for Human Resources Management SHRM invited him back to participate in the “Spring Professional HR Panel” along with Leah Cohen-McHale, MS-HRD, PHR, SHRM-CP (HRD Redhorse Corporation and President of the Washington Area Total Rewards Association (WATRA)) and Rod Kelly (retired compensation manager Auburn University).
It was a dark and stormy night in Harrisonburg, Va., but the energy of students and panelists alike lit up the room in competition with the lightning flashes in the giant windows of Hartman Hall. It was wonderful to interact with two fantastic HR colleagues and chapter members. They even fed him! Which was good because he needed the energy to respond to questions like “How does HR align its initiatives with broader business goals and support their companies”, “How do we see HR changing in the future” and “What’s the most challenging and rewarding part of our jobs”.
Many thanks to the chapter, students, and his fellow panelists for making the 4-hour round trip drive from Northern Virginia to Harrisonburg so worth it! Arc Human Capital looks forward to continuing to work with the JMU SHRM chapter in the future!
